Endings can feel so hard and today I am experiencing one that is really tough.

You see, a dear friend of mine who has lived with me for over a year moved on to her next destination today.
Originally when she asked me about cohabiting, I wasn’t sure. I had major resistance to the idea.
I’d been living alone for years so I thought it would be weird.
After considering the pros and cons – I said WTH, let’s try it for 6 months.
And we did.
What happened was a shocker! Living with her was amazing.
We got so close. We laughed so hard.
We cried hard too cause life threw us both some curveballs as life can do and throughout, we loved each other and supported each other.
So many blessings…
Opening up to new chapters in life can feel scary. We can resist and hide and choose to stay right where we are or we can trust and take a leap of faith.
You have the choice to step into the mystery and experience the gifts of the unknown.
Change can feel very uncomfortable BUT beyond the discomfort lies so many possible gifts.
And so today is bittersweet.
I’m sad she’s gone.
It’s also so sweet to have had this amazing experience of love and sisterhood, which I will cherish forever.
I count my blessings and remind myself that change opens us up to new experiences and love beyond our wildest dreams if we indeed open up.
So are you ready to open your heart?
Is it a risk worth taking?
I hope so. You deserve love beyond your wildest dreams.
Yes, a heart wide open can get hurt and there are ways to take steps so it isn’t so risky.
Sometimes it’s just one move and the rest unfolds with ease. A lot of the time, there are blocks to love and support is needed.
