You have an amazing opportunity today, this week, always!
I invite you to your own Halloween party.
In the spirit of Halloween, I want to suggest you try on a new life costume.
Have you ever played it small and didn’t speak up when you knew in your gut something wasn’t right?
Do you say yes when you mean no?
Do you sometimes have an “I’m good” mask on for people when inside you’re hurting?
Perhaps you let your date kiss you when you weren’t feeling it!
It happens. And when you let things go and allow something to happen that you didn’t want to happen, it kinda takes the wind out of your soul, right?
It’s easy to slip into that unconscious hole of make believe and there is a reason you cut off your truth.
It’s self-protection. It’s your inner Risk Manager guiding you to avoid some conflict, but there is a cost to not being yourself and feeling aligned.
What if you actually put on a new mask that allows you to be authentic in a whole new way? Can you imagine speaking up for yourself and standing your ground with deep self-care?
That’s what this invitation to you is about.
This week, and always, you can try new behaviors on. You can stretch by consciously choosing to act differently.
This is a bit of an “act as if” exercise because you are choosing to behave in a way that might be very different than your normal “go to” behavior. It might even be uncomfortable.
Take a dip into it. You don’t have to dive into the deep end.
Think of the costumes you might wear to a Halloween party. It might be a stretch for you to put extra make up on. For others it might be the sexy vampire outfit.
The invitation to you is to use this holiday as a metaphor to put on new masks in your everyday life.
So what is your M.O.? Do the opposite. That’s the invitation. Try it on.
Put on a new mask (costume) and see how it feels.

Let me know how it goes!!
Happy Halloween, Junie
