Your life is filled with powerful, transformative moments that have shaped your life. You might even say your life is like a book with many chapters. What if you could capture your potent chapters through movement and record them in a creative process to reflect on forever? On this week’s episode of Midlife Love Out Loud, Jennifer Acks-Neuman shares a unique, healing powerful process that incorporates movement and your story.
Jennifer Aks-Neuman grew up attending the Montclair, NJ performing arts schools where she studied various movement styles. She went on to receive her Associates Degree from Dean Jr. College and BFA from The Music and Performing Arts Professions at New York University with a dance major and education minor.
She performed and studied dance for many years, which led me to her current role at National Dance Institute. Through the years she discovered her mission to help find creative ways for women to connect and honor their personal stories. As a professional photographer, she became an assistant in the storytelling process. Today, she works with women to create personal video movement stories. She uses video, editing & photography skills, along with her deep belief that if we trust our feminine intuition, it will guide us into our authentic movement. That movement will communicate our story. This work has the power to transform and create new pathways, which can lead to personal & communal discovery. The stories are captured in a memento that one can reflect on forever.
